Scandic

Scandic is the largest hotel operator in the Nordic region with a network of approximately 280 hotels with 58,000 hotel rooms in operation and under development in six countries.

Scandic's mobile app focuses on the customer experience and makes it easy for guests to communicate with Scandic. Using the app, guests can manage their loyalty program as well as check-in, check-out and payment.

About the project

Scandic wanted a guest-focused and user-friendly app, focusing not only on the purely technical aspects but also on the overall customer experience.

With a long-term vision focused on exploring the various possibilities offered by mobile devices—such as Bluetooth, NFC, Mobile Key, Wi-Fi, and similar technologies—the client opted for a native approach when selecting a framework, a sensible choice at the time. Since Scandic is an international hotel chain, the solution was built from the outset with scalability, languages, and currencies in mind, as well as the ability to manage local versions of the app based on regional preferences and requirements.
